Bargaining Tips

As in most parts of South East Asia, you are expected to bargain when you shop in markets, be it open or enclosed, with the exception of wet markets.

Most opened air markets sells souvenirs to tourists and visitors. If you like something, and you are interested in that product, please do not hesitate to make an offer to bargain.

Start from half of the original price of the product and work your way up. Finally agree upon the given price you are comfortable with and pay for it.

To tell you the truth, locals would not venture to these open air markets to buy souvenirs.
